      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Jabil

      Interview

Applied online through LinkedIn. Got a call from a recruiter from Jabil the next day. The recruiter scheduled a call and when the time came, she completely missed it. Stayed on the meeting for a full hour and she was a complete no show. she emailed me apologizing and scheduled another call, which she was almost 20 minutes late to (keep in mind this is a Microsoft Teams call, so I had to join the meeting and actively wait for her). Although she's not indicative of everyone at Jabil, it certainly turned me off, and I debated whether I should even move forward with the interviews. I was eventually set up to talk to two project engineers over a Microsoft Teams meeting. The meeting lasted an hour where they further talked about what the company does. They were very friendly and seemed quite knowledgeable and experienced. The screening went well enough for me to be invited for an in-person interview. (Apparently the first recruiter was supposed to reach back out to tell me about this, but she never reached back out). The in-person interview was with the hiring manager, the two engineers I spoke with on the phone, and another engineer on the team. They were a bit late, as it seemed like they were coming out of another meeting. They primarily asked very detailed questions about my past projects as well as some technical questions on how I would automate a certain task. I was also given the chance to ask any questions I had about the branch. My primary concern was with work life balance. Though I think the team would have been amazing to work with and they all seemed very talented, the impression about the work-life balance was not very good, though i could very well have misread it. I got a call about a week after the interview with an offer, but the compensation was a bit lower than what I had asked for. That, coupled with my initial impressions of the interview process led me to decline the offer.
