We take all feedback very seriously and are constantly striving to improve our interview process. We are very thorough in our hiring process to ensure a good fit on both sides. Most candidates go through two phone interviews and a working interview here at the facility, because we feel it's important for any potential candidate to understand firsthand the day-to-day responsibilities of the role. We always pay our working interviews, and we do keep records of each check that has been sent out and cashed. Our records indicate that all working interview checks have recently been cashed, but please feel free to reach out to our HR Manager if you have questions about your payment. It is common for us to interview candidates for multiple departments when we feel their skillsets are relevant, in an effort to find the best fitting role for each team member (for instance, skillsets often overlap for our Veterinary Technician and Health4PETS® Liaison roles). Our top priority is finding a great fit for every open position, and though we’ve had multiple interviewees, we have not yet extended any offers for our open Vet Tech position. We are proud to offer competitive pay at a range of $20-$26/hour for Veterinary Technicians (above industry average), though unfortunately we cannot always meet each candidate's specific salary expectations based on their current skillset and experience. It is very unfortunate to read this review indicating your working interview was an unpleasant one. You are correct in that we did meet with you after you spent time in our Clinic, but we got the impression you were happy with the experience, as you wrote an email to us saying we have friendly, skilled, and compassionate employees, thanking us for the day, and complimenting our facility. We are extremely proud of the expert medical team at our Clinic, and we will always support them in being able to do their work at the highest quality. On the day you were here, we did have a patient whose radiology views came back inconclusive. As in all veterinary practices, it is the doctor that leads the team, and we trust our doctor's expertise. In this case, our doctor and 2 independent radiologists did not have clear enough information to make a proper diagnosis. We are always willing to take more views until the doctor has enough information to feel comfortable making an assessment about an animal’s health. We are saddened to hear your comment about our doggie daycare program, as you only saw it briefly during your tour of the facility. In our flagship PLAYtrain® program, we take dogs of all ages and stages and place them in tailored playgroups based on their needs. This allows us to create a safe and structured environment for dogs to not only play, but also to learn and grow while they’re here. We are proud to have expert dog trainers and PLAYtrain® Specialists on staff who are trained in reading dog body language, as well as having one of the best staff-to-dog ratios in the industry. We do pay all of our working interviews for their time, and our policy is to offer minimum wage for working interviews across all departments. Our Director of HR did speak with you already about the discrepancy with your check (which only covered 3 hours due to a communication error), and our records show we sent you a check for the remaining 2 hours that you were here.
