I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, England) in Dec 2014
Interview
Online application followed by a few online tests. If you pass these you are then invited to an assessment centre Which includes an interview and role play exercise. The role play is usually undertaken with current managers of the company. This cab make it more testing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a solution you came up with for a difficult problem.
The interview process was tough but fair. Ultimately they are looking if you will be a good fit for the company, there are no technical questions, just ones to see if your personality is aligned with the company philosphy.

Question 1
How will you demonstrate customer care in the role you applied for?
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at JLR (Gaydon, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
Very unprofessionally handled. Left waiting with other candidates for over an hour and a half in the lobby area past when interview were due to start. No one bothered to nip down and tell us they were running late.
Two interviewers on the day. First one had a basic screening interview, followed by a presentation. Process was easy. First assessor quite pleasant to deal with.
Second assessor was not so pleasant. Was very hostile from the start. Refused to shake my hand, and it quickly became apparent that he had no intention of recruiting anyone that day, whatever the candidate said.
Was offered guest tickets for the nearby motor museum (in case I was being dropped off by a friend or relative, these would be for them to keep themselves occupied). I now regret not requesting some tickets - it would have been a far better use of my time.
As a final note, feedback was never provided despite repeated requests. This is in violation of the Gradcracker pledge signed by JLR to advertise their roles on the site.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at JLR (Royal Leamington Spa, England) in Mar 2018
Interview
The whole process was very professional and straightforward. There were three tasks that needed to be done. First task was to complete the in-tray exercise. The task was the competency based interview and few questions asked about the automobile industry in general. The last task was the group exercise. We were a group of 6 and each of us had a different supplier. As a group we had to decide which supplier would be suitable for JLR. (For graduates who applied for product engineering, they had to do a presentation instead of the in-tray exercise.)
