I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JCPenney (Louisville, KY) in Sept 2015
Interview
You're building blocks. That's really it. Well, you have to look at how a building is presented, and try to build it as close as possible to the building. The thing is, you have 15 seconds to look at the building on the ipad, 60 to direct everyone else to build it and you cannot touch it. It's pretty easy to see what they want from you -- they want to see if you'll fall under stressful situations. Stay calm throughout, and you'll seriously have the job in the bag. Dude, if you're calm and collected, as well as understanding, you will MASTER this part.
Secondly, you have to convince your interviewing managers to add something to JCPenney, depending on a number of topics they give you. It helps to think about it in a sense that this is a store driven by women. Think about women, then the department, then the store and then the company as a whole. If you passed Senior English in high school, you will master this part as well.

It was a group interview which led to an individual interview with a supervisor. If you pass the first round you have a higher chance of getting hired on for a position
Interview process went smoothly. Asked behavioral questions and situational questions that catered to how you deal with a variety of customer personalities. Also asked about previous employment roles. Offered a job on the first interview.
