I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at JCPenney in Mar 2013
Interview
It was a group interview with about six or seven people. Two of the managers interviewed us in the conference room. There were two mangers that seem to be really nice. They asked us about five questions each. Some people decided not to answer some of the questions. I'd they were unable to answer they would skip the question. Then one by one would be called out of the room to have a separate interview with the manager. Some were asked more questions and others had to do role play. If you did well you moved on to have an interview with the store manager. If all is good then you get to go home
Easy, got hired in 1 week and was able to start as soon as possible. It was a good process and I liked the people I interviewed with. The culture is off to a positive start.
The interview process begins with an initial screening to review qualifications and experience. Selected candidates then participate in one or more interviews with the hiring team, which may include behavioral and role-specific questions. Final candidates may be asked to complete an assessment or meet with senior stakeholders before a hiring decision is made. Candidates are kept informed throughout the process.
