I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at JCPenney (Paramus, NJ) in Sept 2012
Interview
I simply applied online. Within three days, I received a phone call asking me to come in for an interview, which I accepted. I walked into the store and was directed to a room where I waited for my interview. It took at least 30 mins for the interview to begin, but it was very straight-forward and quick from that point on. The manager who interviewed me kept things casual, because it was my first job interview, and made the process extremely comfortable. After the interview I was informed that they were going to hire me, however a background check would be conducted, which did take around a week.
