Honestly this might have been one of the most difficult and best experiences I have ever had with a job interview. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been so much information to digest, not just daily but hourly it seems, so safety was certainly a primary concern. We started the interview meeting in the Des Moines conference room, with two General Managers from Omaha, NE and Des Moines, IA. Each Manager was seated more than the required 6' distancing. There was a Monitor with a corporate recruiter whom teleconferenced into the meeting and we started the interview process. Each Manager had standard interview questions. Later the designers from each of the branch offices joined in the video conference and were able to ask questions that ranged from how I manage to how I will I help with their careers. The engagement was very well thought out, and to a certain degree was difficult being addressed and questioned by potential future co-workers, and not taking for granted the difficulties and circumstances faced with remote conferencing. After settling in to the interview process, I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the format.
