I received first communication from the company roughly more than a month after my online application.
The HR contacted me via email for a preferred time to setup first screening. However, the HR rep never followed up on my email and the phone screen couldn't happen on the decided time. I didn't hear back from the HR even after multiple follow-up emails and voice-mails. I finally chose LinkedIn as a medium to follow-up/complain about the entire scenario. That's when I heard back from the HR and the first round phone screening was finally scheduled! This process of following up took another month.
The process was smooth after the HR screening where they asked basic resume based questions, salary expectations and provide info about the company. A week after the HR round I was asked for a suitable time for technical phone interview which would last 45 minutes. I was interviewed by 2 different hiring managers from 2 different teams at Itron. One of them was least interested and did not ask any questions throughout the interview. The other manager was late to join the conference call but had good and challenging questions for me. However, the question were more of random questions on topics different than the one's mentioned in the job description.
