Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. As the hiring manager leading this process, I designed the interview to understand your professional background and experience. I also hoped to get a sense of your workstyle, expertise, and ability to contribute to our team.
After your interviews, I did extend the opportunity for you to provide work samples in the form of a marketing plan, campaign strategy, social creative, sample reporting dashboard, or online portfolio. It was my intention to evaluate your ability to execute in a way that would support our teams and clients. It is commonplace for a hiring manager to ask for examples of work and incorporate the review into the overall selection process. Redacting is also commonplace and expected to ensure that any proprietary or confidential information is not included in the samples. When you ultimately did not submit any samples, it was assumed you were no longer interested in pursuing the role.
We apologize that you perceived our intentions were directed anywhere other than finding the most qualified talent for our team, clients, and company culture, and that your experience was not a positive one. We wish you the best of luck on your future employment endeavors.
