Interview process was unique. Had an initial phone interview with HR manager, who seemed really friendly...over the phone. Next stage was in-person interview (3 total). Went from broad to specific (first one was with same HR manager, second was with Director of the department, and third interview was with the people I would be working underneath specifically). The tone of the HR manager was extremely different in person. Not sure if she didn't like the way that I looked...she also made the effort to ask me more questions in the span of 30 minutes than I had ever been asked in any interview in my life; it was almost as if she made the effort to leave me stumped or unable to respond to something. I am talking question within question within question and more. She even made the effort to tell me that they still had numerous interviews scheduled and not even a vague timeline for when a decision would be made! When the initial interview with the HR manager is immensely more difficult than the interview with the people who would presumably be your supervisors, you know that something is seriously wrong. Please try to abstain from having apparent bias towards potential employees simply because they don't come from the same ethnic background as you do. It is ignorant and doesn't bode well on your organization.
