Hiring process was prompt. Sent in an application online and was heard back within the next couple days. First interview round was an online questionnaire, then to come in for a formal interview.
I hope I'm the unsung hero for posting this, because this was a weird experience.
Now at first, I was weary about this company because there was no Glassdoor/social media or anything. I found ONE bad previous review online, but still decided to give it a shot (I love fashion, people, marketing and helping people, it sounded perfect!).
This was a WEIRD interview. It took over an hour, where I heard about the company, talked to the employees and learned more about each other. That was the okay part. It somehow ended with me being grilled about what grades I got in school? I have my degree, I have a fine GPA, why am I being grilled on grades (sorry I had one bad grade my first semester? who doesn't?). The application said either great customer experience or a degree, why was I being grilled for one bad grade when I had excellent customer service skills and a degree? It didn't make sense. But anyways, the boss will want to see your transcripts (to each their own I suppose?).
The pay sounded nice, but the team looked miserable. It seems like a great experience with fashion and marketing, but it looked like an entirely different story behind closed doors. Thanks, I'll pass.
