Interview
I was contacted by a screener shortly after I applied. We had a 30 minute conversation, which was recorded. Questions mostly centered on acceptance of job description - salary, travel demands, etc. I was scheduled for a 2nd round a few days later, during which I had to give a presentation and answer some basic questions about my background and how I prepared for the presentation. At the end of that, I was scheduled to speak with a VP for a 3rd round. I thought this was all going well, given the multiple rounds and the feedback I received. And then - they ghosted me. Zero communication. Not even a "thanks but no thanks" email template. I sent follow up emails after each round, and none of them were replied to. It was all really disappointing.

Question 1
Give a 5-10 min presentation on one of their products. Why do you want to move to Imagine Learning? Why are you a good fit for this job?
First a call with a recruiter, and then 6 rounds! They kept saying they needed to fill the role ASAP. Okay, so why 7 steps for candidates?! The first round is with the hiring manager, then 2 rounds with people in the same role (performance task included), then a “conversation” with a senior level leader. Round 5 is in-person and round 6 is a virtual interview. I really liked the recruiter I got to work with during the first 4 rounds. She told me I’d move forward round 5 then I was handed off to her teammates. I reached out after the holidays to follow up on round 5 only to be told they went with another candidate. I would like to point out that the position is still posted (almost 4 weeks later). That experience made me relieved that I didn’t keep interviewing with them.
