I had high hopes for my candidacy and was genuinely excited about the opportunity to join the team. However, my experience with the hiring process was disappointing and, ultimately, unprofessional.
I submitted my performance assessment on time, met all deadlines, and followed the application instructions exactly as outlined. Despite this, the HR representative overseeing the process misplaced or overlooked my submission. I later had to re-send my materials — with proof of timely submission — after being told there was no record of it. Unfortunately, by the time the issue was acknowledged, I was told the interview process had already advanced and that there may not be adequate capacity to review my materials, through no fault of my own.
It’s incredibly frustrating to be disqualified from consideration due to an internal error, especially after investing significant time and care into the application. I understand that mistakes happen, but there was no meaningful ownership of the error or attempt to rectify the situation in a timely or equitable way.
I hope the organization takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and operational rigor within their hiring process. Candidates deserve a fair and accountable experience — especially when they’ve done everything right.
