I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at IXL Learning (Raleigh, NC) in May 2022
Interview
This interview process was very strange and lacked professionalism. The interviewers barely spent time asking questions about my background and one of them even admitted to not paying attention and answering emails during the Zoom interview. Before my interview a recruiter went over many tips with me including how to dress - while one of the interviewers only wore a t shirt on the call. After a barely 30 minute interview with the simplest questions I’ve ever been asked, I was offered the job out of what seemed to be serious desperation. The whole process and how quick the turnover was made me feel quite uneasy and like the job would not have been a good fit.

Question 1
If I was able to commute to their office on a hybrid schedule and start on a specific date.
I applied online for this position and within a week or so received an email saying they wanted to contact me by phone. We scheduled a phone interview for the next week and the questions were pretty standard getting to know you questions. I felt fairly positive about the experience but unfortunately did not make it to the next stage. I did not find this out, however, until about 3 weeks after the phone interview.
