I met an account manager from ISS at his request - for a chat (not an interview he was at great pains to explain). My previous role was virtually identical so it seemed promising. Anyway, I arrived in good time; nobody knew I was coming or who I was. So there I sat.......nothing! Giving up and on my way out I decided to call him, he was 20 miles away and asked if I could get to him at this new location - so, off I sped and eventually fought through the traffic to meet him. Not an interview turned out to be an interview but not to worry, all very friendly and a good match for the role etc. or so he said. Thanking him and departing, he promised another interview 4 weeks or so later and we went our separate ways, nothing. So I rang him, nothing, so I rang him again, nothing. So I emailed him and emailed him again just asking if he would let me know if we were on or off, nothing. For reference, I am an established professional, working senior roles and have never, ever in my life encountered such unprofessional, amateurish behaviour from a supposed account manager. A shocking experience - one that ISS should take seriously since it paints that company in a seriously bad light among me and my senior colleagues and numerous contacts. This was truly abysmal behaviour from this individual who should take a look in the mirror and ask if he would enjoy being treated like this by another supposed senior.
