Interview
FRESH graduate interview
Basically the process was of 6 rounds-
1st - Coding Test
2nd - interview
3rd - Group Discussion *
4th - Case Study + Programming interview
5th - Leadership Round
6th - HR Round
* No elimination (rest all are elimination rounds)
1) 1st round was coding round which was conducted in our college and test was of moderate level.
2) In 2nd round they tested your logical ability and communication skill.
3) For 3rd round we were called to their office for ION day (basically students will come from various institutes for interview). They bear all your expenses and provide stay in a 4 star hotel.
Groups were assigned randomly to each student each group size was of 6 students. One of the task was to build a tower with spaghetti and marshmallow in a group. In other task each student were given different but related pictures and we need to guess the meaning of all the pictures given to us.
3) In 4th round we were given a case study of "how the company should plan to hire from top tire college and eliminate the repetitive task of hiring". They also asked some basic recursion question and one hash based approach question.
4) In 5th round the interviewer gave some pictures and asked about the best approach of software life cycle. (They guide you to reach correct answer)
5) 6th round was taken by director of ion group India. It was basically a HR round.
The overall interview experience was very unique for a fresher and learned a lot through that process. But the sad part of it was that the hired very few students although though some students completed all the rounds and the performance was also quite good to be hired. They shouldn't have called many students to their office if were to hire only very few students. Even though ION provided very good facilities (Appreciated) to us but it was a very tiring physically as well as mentally to all those who came to their office & completed all the 6 rounds. It was very depressing and demotivating to all as the process was very long and this was all to select only very few students. The positive part of this experience was that you got to experience some unique process of hiring where you got to evaluate your skills both technical and communicational.
