The interviews themselves went fine. But in the initial screening with the recruiter, she gave me a salary range that had my target salary right in the middle of it. Given that I exceeded minimum requirements by quite a bit, I figured the offer would be around there.
After the interviews were over, I was told the maximum salary for the position was now $7K less than the lowest end of the range I was originally given. That kind ethically questionable action makes me question their business practices.
