I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ICF (Washington, DC) in Apr 2019
Interview
The whole process took about 3 weeks. I met the hiring manager and Climate Change and Sustainability Director at an on-campus career fair. We chat for 10 minutes about my interests and why I was interested in the position, as well as how the team operated. From there, I formally submitted a cover letter online. A week later I was invited to an on-site interview in D.C.
I met with 6 people holding different positions - analyst, manager and director. From 8:30-12 the interview were standard and behavioral. I then went to lunch with two analysts and came back to work on a 1 hour writing test that consisted on a email draft and graph analysis.
I did not hear back from anyone after two weeks. After I followed up I was informed that the position was given to someone else. I had a great hiring experience up until the end.

They also each asked if I had questions - so be ready with a lot of questions.
They were really friendly and helpful. The interview was easy to schedule and they were very communicative. The interviews weren't super technical, and I mostly talked about relevant past experiences.

Interview
Three rounds, two behavioral + one technical
The recruiter was extremely unclear about the interview formats—they even gave out misleading information. I wasn't sure how the entire process was structured until the final round.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ICF (Washington, DC) in Mar 2021
Interview
I was first called for a screening with the Hiring Manager and then an online 4-hour long interview with 5 people in the team. It was a bit repetitive since it was not a group interview but one-on-ones. However, after spending over 4 hours on Zoom, they did not get back to me even to give me the courtesy of letting me know that they had decided to go for someone else.
