I applied for a Product Management position at IBM and was contacted shortly after for an initial screening. The recruiter seemed interested and asked me a few logistical questions, which I answered promptly and honestly. Then, complete silence for over a week. I followed up and eventually received a vague response that contradicted the initial message - now claiming they were “still in the screening phase.”
I thanked them and waited patiently for couple more weeks. Still no updates. I followed up again twice - no response at all. Meanwhile, the same job keeps getting reposted on LinkedIn, which raises serious concerns about transparency and intent.
The entire process felt disorganized, with conflicting communication and ultimately, ghosting. It left me with the impression that the company may be harvesting data or fishing for ideal candidates without respecting applicants’ time or dignity. A disappointing experience that has significantly impacted my perception of IBM’s professionalism.

Got a link to a platform where you were asked to answer a series of questions. The answers had to be recorded, every answer was supposed to be answered in less than 3 minutes. Beforehand, the advice was given to prepare using the STAR framework.
Important: once started, you can only interrupt the process once, since they don't want you to have unlimited preparation time for the answers. If it gets interrupted (e.g. due to network connectivity or by closing the tab) a second time, the process is stopped and your interview is basically aborted.
