After applying, I was sent an editorial test to do. That was the first stage before interviewing with the editorial lead and production manager. Part of the in-person interview included doing another short test. The interview wasn't difficult, typical questions asked.

Interview
After applying I was emailed with a writing test to complete within two days and email back. Would have liked more time as was working those two days. After that I received a phone interview which was casual and asked basic questions. Then about a week later I was asked to come in for a face to face interview and I did. They were fantastic in the interview as were very professional and did everything to make you feel comfortable.

Interview
I had a phone interview with a senior editor who used the word "chill" to describe the office setting and said the people are his favorite part of the job. He sounded very young and unpolished. After the interview, which lasted about 20 min., I took an editing test. The test was in a Word doc, so some errors were already highlighted. After that, I was told I did well on the test and that they wanted to bring me in for an in-person interview. I was out of state, so I could not fly in for the meeting, and they wanted me to start very quickly if hired. I told them I could do a video interview instead and then I didn't hear from them again. I wouldn't have been able to move to NY within about a week.
