It was pretty straightforward. It started with HR, then a phone interview with the manager and lastly an in-person interview with a panel. I also had to create a short presentation based on a task they gave me.
I applied online. I interviewed at Hyland in Aug 2021
Interview
If you're looking to waste hours of your time creating detailed marketing plans for free, this is the place to interview!
Interviewing for Hyland was a waste of my time. Following the initial HR phone screen, I was invited to a second round Zoom call. Prior to this interview, I was asked to create a detailed marketing plan. I spent over four hours researching the company and creating a strategic plan. The two women that interviewed me were condescending and rude. They immediately wanted to review the "free" work that I had done for the company and didn't seem overly impressed or appreciative.
I was also told that Hyland could be referred to as the "Google Campus" of Ohio. The two women spent a lot of time discussing all of the luxurious perks offered by their headquarters which appeared to be unrelated and pretentious. Following the interview, I sent them both a thank you note which they failed to acknowledge. I was sent a generic "thanks but no thanks" email from HR weeks later. I don't recommend wasting your time interviewing for this unprofessional organization.
