I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Hyland (Cleveland, OH) in Dec 2012
Interview
45 minute technical interview, which was very easy. This pretty much covered basic networking skills, how to use a mouse, do you know what a keyboard and browser is? The hardest question was how to uninstall a program. 1 hour prescreening phone call. 2 hour management interview and a 3 hour program test, which was also very easy. This was just your basic object oriented programming assessments. How would you sort an array of numbers? What are generics? etc. The whole process lasted about two months.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Hyland (Columbus, OH)
Interview
I began by applying online. Within a few weeks, a received notice that I would be given an interview. The interview was conducted over a video chat. Four hyland employees conducted the interview, specifically two managers and two developers. The interview lasted 30 minutes. Then, after one and a half months, I received a job offer.
After my application had been reviewed, I received a link to an online assessment with 3 or 4 pretty easy questions about general programming knowledge. After that I was scheduled to do a phone interview with 3 people from different departments on the other end. The interview mainly concerned items on my resume and ended with a question about how I would test a simple program. After this I was made an offer.
