I met with the recruiter who was lovely and enthusiastic about my experience, we communicated my salary expectations and with this knowledge, he passed me on to the 2nd stage interview with the manager that I would be working with. The 2nd stage interview went well I got a good indication of what needed to be done within the team and what processes needed to be built out. I was excited to help and saw the role as a great opportunity for me. After the second stage, I waited 3 weeks with frequent communication from the recruiter to say they are still in discussion about next steps and I would hear back soon. All of a sudden I get an email that they are not moving forward with me because my salary is too high but they thought I was a great candidate. I really feel like my time was wasted. I communicated my salary expectations in the application and went through two interview stages for nothing. Secondly, for the amount of work that is required for this role, Hudl need to rethink their salary benchmarks as they will be severely underpaying whoever is accepted for this role and in this current climate, that is a poor decision on their behalf. Hudl, pay people outside of the US fairly.
