How to detect voltage source and current source in a black box

If there is a way by which we an change resistance of the external circuit, then probably we can try doing this 1. Keep changing the external resistance, if voltage across the terminals remain constant then probably it's a voltage source 2.if the overall current remains constant then probably it's a current source.
