I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Houston Methodist
Interview
The entire experience was very professional and the HR staff was very accomdating. The hospital is the #1 in Texas and on the top 100 best places to work. I applied and it took almost two months to hear something back. I was called in to interview fo a PRN position which is basically full time with no benefits and they will fill those first before they offer you a full time position with benefits so beware. Also, take the time to research the person you are interviewing with via LinkedIn. Cuts out the awakwardness sometimes if you have a little information about them to share in conversation.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Houston Methodist (Houston, TX) in Aug 2016
Interview
Easy, laid back. First had an over the phone interview with a recruiter, followed by a phone interview with a panel from the department, and finally an in person interviewed quickly followed by a call with an offer as soon as I left the building. Interview included typical interview questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time you have messed up during work and how you overcame it?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Houston Methodist (Houston, TX) in Mar 2012
Interview
Standard interview questions, including some scenarios. The interviewers were professional and somewhat friendly. The word "professional" was stated several times in reference to what type of manager the secretary would be supporting. Also that the manager needed someone who would keep his very busy calendar.
