Initial contact was with an outsourced recruiting agency partnered with Honeywell. Contact was made to arrange the initial interview. I was contacted late afternoon on Friday with a tentitive interview scheduling for the following Wednesday, but it had to be confirmed with the hiring manager. I had to follow up with a phone call early afternoon to confirm as I had not received an itinerary email yet as indicated by the recruiter I should have received over the weekend. Within minutes of my followup phone call I received an email confirming the scheduled interview and associated information.
Upon arriving at the Facility I was greeted by an aweome Receptionist who was extremely busy at the moment due to an overwhelming amount of people coming through the door at the same time. She handled things very well and professionally. After signing in, receiving a pair of safety glasses, and a few instructions I was then greeted by the Hiring Manager. He was very pleasant and walked me through the series of offices to his office. He then offered me some Tea and we proceeded with the interview. I was impresed by him and felt very comfortable discussing my background, experience, and his needs for this position and felt the interview went extremely well. We eemed to be on the same page and the interview turned more informal as we started to get into more details matching the needs of the organization, the situation of the department, and the up coming events and change management. We were scheduled for an hour however we extended it and he took me on an in depth plant tour and discussed more as we went through the plant. As we progressed through the various areas of the plant, he would make it a point to say hello to other associates and point out more opportunities and areas of interest related to the job. He also explained the various matrices and visuals of the "Change Management Plan" that was very visual to all throughout the plant to include pictures and the stages of the planned change in addition to progress. All was explained very well and related very well to why I was there interviewing for this position.
The facility was a newer building and fairly well organized. It definitely had opportunities for better organization and functionality, but that was expected as this was all part of the change that was "in process." I felt I understood completely why I was chosen to interview for the position and felt it would be a good fit given the goals and objectives outlined in our discussion during the interview. I really believe he was up front with me and I was informed of the entire picture and know what I would be getting into if offered the position
As we were making our way to officeentrance to end the interview he stopped for a moment to speak with someone in an office and then asked me to come over and he then introduced me to his Boss.
Overall it was a real pleasurable experience.
