I applied for a position with Homes for Independent Living. I received two interviews. One of which was more informal and was to allow the other managers to see if I was a good fit. I received a Thank you but no Thank you email.
Two weeks later I receive a call from another location stating that my application was forwarded to their location. I was offered to interview for a much lower position which was very insulting. I declined. I have a very professional background and have a Bachelors of Science.
A month later, I receive a call for the original position I applied for stating that the candidate that was chosen over me did not work out and asked if I was still interested. Because I knew I could do the job and do it well, I stated that I was. I tried to negotiate the terms of the offer and was told by HR that she would give me a call back.
I never received a call back but instead an email. The email stated based on pre-selection screening the offer was rescinded. I have been interviewing recently and received several offers after a background check was ran. I have nothing on my background AT ALL. I called the HR rep and the phone was picked up and hung up. I called back and was sent to voicemail.
I have never taken the time to review a company, especially in this much detail. However, my time was wasted and this was the most unprofessional interviewing.recruiting process that I have ever been involved in.
