The interview process was very structured, clear, and easy to follow, which made it straightforward to understand expectations and implementation steps. However, I realized I wasn’t adequately prepared in the required programming language, which limited my ability to fully demonstrate my technical capabilities during the interview.

Question 1
They asked how I would design the backend to ensure the API is scalable and handles validation, error handling, and secure data processing for incoming form submissions.
So far, very clear and straight forward interview process with 4 rounds, including two technical rounds. Still waiting to hear back about the next round of interviews, but so far have found it to be a positive experience.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Homebase in Sept 2025
Interview
The first part was to deal with a phone screen with an internal recruiter followed by a two-part technical round. One was meant to be a typical UI/coding challenge, the other was supposed to be me talking about my work.
I was then not advanced further but was ghosted. But to add insult to injury, I was asked a few weeks later to answer a survey to my interview process. I thought the treatment was unprofessional overall and I urge them to be more transparent with their decision making for future candidates.

Question 1
I was asked about past experiences in the initial screening. I was then asked to build a component in the technical round. Lastly, I prepared to talk about a past project I did but that did not actually happen.
