I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hollister Co. (Dublin, CA) in Apr 2011
Interview
I walked in and filled out an application at the in-store kiosk. I looked at what all the other models were wearing so i could get an idea of what to wear to the interview. I showed up at my interview 10 mins early despite actually starting 15 mins after interviews were suppose to begin. It was a group interview. The manager that gave the interview was very laid back and made everyone comfortable. The duration of the interview depends on the amount of interviewees. They should let you know if you have reicieved the position with in 7 days. I advise to call them by the 4th day if you haven't heard form anyone by then.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interview was very easy. There were a few get-to-know-you questions. There are also questions on how well you work in environments and give examples. Be prepared to define what you think diversity means to you.
A common question asked in group interview settings is, “What does diversity mean to you?” It's a foundational topic that allows candidates to express their understanding of inclusion, equity, and respect for different perspectives. This question often opens up dialogue around how individuals value unique backgrounds, experiences, and identities in the workplace. It's not just about race or gender—it encompasses cultural, generational, and even cognitive differences. Employers use this to gauge how someone might contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone feels seen and heard.
The interview was a group interview but it was very easy. Everyone answered the same questions. I applied and was offered an interview within the same week. They choose who they like. Not difficult just don't be weird. There lost their sheen recently though so you should be fine if you don't fit the mold. Is there not 30 words yet this is ridiculous I don't know if I can trust this site
