I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Murphy, TX) in Nov 2015
Interview
Face to face interview in one of the classrooms. Took 45 minutes. Make sure to bring the usual 2 forms of ID because they tend to hire on the spot. It was pretty easy and they didn't bring any pressure or animosity into the interview unlike some other places I've interviewed at,
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Lewisville, TX) in Nov 2025
Interview
Easy, like a conversation but questions about what are you good at, what do you need to improve on. Nothing I prepped for like asking about hobby, though it did ask me why Hobby Lobby. Math test after the interview was easy but I’m a math person. No calculators used on the jov.
I rated the overall experience as neutral because i got the job at the end and i really don't know what to expect from an interview, but i felt pretty confused and conflicted afterwards even though i got the job.
I got a paper application from in the store and filled it out at home. About 4 business days after turing it in i got a call about an interview. This was my first job interview and I was very nervous. The interviewer seemed pretty laid back but i feel like he was kind of making fun of me. Seemed to say things and ask questions to scare me off from wanting the job. At the end he said i got the job and asked when i could start. It went quick and i left not really knowing much about what i just got into. He didn't fully explain what my position or title is and this is my first job experience so i don't know what to expect from anything. He said he starts everyone off as seasonal because they're easier to fire if needed. My first day/orientation is coming up soon and I'm scared.

I applied online. I interviewed at Hobby Lobby (Wesley Chapel, FL) in Nov 2018
Interview
The manager asked questions and wrote them down as I talked. Then I took a math test without a calculator. It took about 45 minutes total. There was a lot of chaos gping on...people using the phone and reaching around him while he asked me questions. Employees were entering and exiting the entire time. It was distracting.
