I applied online. I interviewed at Henrybuilt (New York, NY)
Interview
I first had a phone interview that went well and I got called back for an in-person interview at the NYC showroom. It was very odd being interviewed while clients were walking around the room but the questions were pretty reasonable. The two people interviewing me set off a few red flags when describing their experience with the company. One of them used the word "intense" and the other explained that it was a "work hard play hard atmosphere." At the end they surprised me with a CAD test. After a few minutes they came back to say that I needed to hurry up because an event was about to take place in the showroom. Not the most professional experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Henrybuilt (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2023
Interview
Conscientious process that extended over a few months, including in-person meetings and multiple short interviews with Senior staff and leadership. It was an excellent way to connect with the company while learning about their culture.
There were a lot of different people to meet with to talk about the open position and my past experience. All the people I met were very nice. The showroom is extremely beautiful and clean.
