The interview process begins with an initial 15-30 minute video screening, and if approved, then followed by a second 30 minute video interview conducted by the department manager to assess deeper fit, skills, and experience.

Overall the structure of the interview was unpleasant. The interviewer prefaced the meeting by saying that we would have a "debate" of sorts about various SEO topics. What proceeded was a rather clumsy conversation that was less about SEO knowledge/skills and more about SEO opinions. The interviewer found most of my opinions about SEO to be wrong and cited the company's methods as being better. I have nothing against differences of opinion, especially in a gray industry such as SEO, but an interview that consists of arguing about SEO strategies and being told that my methods are incorrect is just... weird. Needless to say, I was not offered a position. Which was neither a surprise nor a disappointment after such an abrasive interview. I feel like I dodged the bullet of working under a manager whose philosophy seems to be "my way or the highway."
