Had a phone interview, then was scheduled for an onsite.
When I arrived at an onsite, I was led to believe there was an office but instead the onsite was held in a room that held ALL of the clothing that was scheduled to be delivered. It was literally in the storage space, which left a bad first impression on me but I figured I'll plow through regardless.
During onsite, the interviewer looked taken aback when I answered that my salary expectations were 45k a year. Interviewer said to expect a call from his manager later on in the week.
Never received the call. A week after my onsite, I saw that the position had been reposted except with the hourly wages now at 15-18 an hour.
It is disrespectful for Hemster to not even bother sending a rejection email after an onsite with a candidate. The fact that both the onsite and phone interviewer never disclosed the actual wage is disingenuous. And while I understand that Hemster has just recently expanded into SF, not being able to afford an ACTUAL working space to conduct interviews is a huge red flag.
