      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Heat Recruitment (Bristol, England) in Nov 2018

      Interview

Applied on the Thursday morning and received a phone call in the afternoon where I had a chat regarding my current circumstances and a little bit about the company. Invited in for a first interview on the Friday with internal recruitment, went through CV and motivations for the role. Discussion about passions outside of work. Second interview on the Monday with a team manager, similar interview to the first, more for the team manager to get a personal grasp of you and your skills as you would most likely be in direct contact with them on a daily basis.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Heat Recruitment in Sept 2019

      Interview

Phone call with the internal recruiter and then had 2 in person interviews at the office. One with the internal recruiter which was a general chat about experience and then 2nd interview with a Director.

      Question 1

Not a question but we ran through a sales scenario where I had to pick something to sell then pitch said item and sell to the interviewer.

      Trainee Recruitment COnsultant Interview

      14 Feb 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bristol, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Heat Recruitment (Bristol, England) in Dec 2017

      Interview

Telephone screening followed by a 1 hour interview. The interview was fine, a few irritating questions that were exactly the same as the last but worded differently. At the end of the interview we discussed outside of work positions and hobbies, and the interviewer was deeply unimpressed with my hobbies and volunteering, it was made very clear that I should expect to work very late in the evenings and any social responsibility would not work with them. The work hard play hard culture of the company was emphasised too much, made it seem chavvy and infantile. I asked questions about the specifics of the job which were interpreted as a lack of understanding of the job. The whole thing felt quite rushed, but I was most put off by the party culture the interviewer went on and on about. I didn’t feel this was appropriate for a first interview and isn’t the sort of thing I’m looking for in a job.
