I Applied on the NHS website, got interviewed and was put on reserve list. Never made it out of there even though other vacancies kept popping up for the same role. I applied online again for the same role and interviewed at Glasgow office. I was offered the position and completed my pre- employment checks. Received a random call that they cannot proceed due to a hiring freeze. I was not given a tangible reason why they could not proceed. Just terrible! I applied again and got another interview where I was informed that there was no hiring freeze and they were also not aware I was on a reserve list. It just seems like there is a huge disconnect in the organisation. This same position keeps being advertised yet people are on the reserve list. If you are offered a job here, better keep interviewing at other places and do not take their word for it.

Interview
Sub-5-minute presentation to a 2 person interview panel, comprising section heads. Presentation focused on the importance of communication skills, with examples required from the interviewees prior employment background. Followed by questions directed at discovering how the interviewee had displayed desired skills in previous roles. Questions took approximately 30 minutes.

Friendly first interview in person then phone interview for the specific role. Hiring process took quite a long time, including the wait between initial interview and interview for the specific role.
