I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Healios in Nov 2022
Interview
Initially contacted by an internal recruiter. Seemed very friendly, lot's of positive things to say. Had a culture fit interview with the EM who also seemed very positive. Sent a take home test to work through. Smashed it. If you're interviewing for Python brush up on asyncio. Technical interview with a staff and a senior engineer. Good discussion covering lot's of areas which I think I handled well. Moved into a system design session. They produced a problem which doesn't have a very clear brief just a set of vague problems. When trying to ask clarifying questions, as you should before diving into things, I felt the answers were hostile and condescending. Needless to say, I didn't get an offer. I was offered feedback but when I replied to set up a meeting I was ghosted. Seems to be a recurring theme there based on some of the other reviews. Avoid if you're not desperate.
Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. I am sorry to read that you felt the problems related in the system design session were vague and that the answers you received were hostile and condescending. We pride ourselves in candidate experience and track all elements of candidates’ interview processes on our Applicant Tracking System. We would be more than happy to set up a follow-up call with you to give any additional feedback. Our TA Lead for Tech & Product would love to hear from you lauren.hall@healios.org.uk.
