I received a call from a member of the selection committee in mid-July. First round interview was with one of the Directors. The meeting was online (Zoom), and the interviewer did not have a live video, only a picture of herself. The first round only lasted about 15 minutes, and asked about 3 questions the entire interview. I was asked for a second round interview on the spot.
The next week, I met with the admissions team through Zoom. Only two of the team members had live videos, out of about 8 individuals. Some had pictures (of themselves or flowers) or just a black screen. I believe it is very unprofessional for any individual, especially your future boss, to have no live video during an online/video interview. Also, I had to present a 5-7 minute topic of my choosing. I didn't feel that this individual really cared about finding a good fit candidate. No passion, and it rubbed me the wrong way.
I was told I would hear results the next week... It's been a month and I haven't received any updates regarding my status. Especially in this current job environment, I believe that employers need be more upfront about status/candidacy, as to not waste anyone's time.
