I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Harris Teeter in Mar 2011
Interview
I called to let the Hiring manager know that I've applied I left him my name and number, he told he would look in the system and called me when he found my application and called me for my interview for the next two days. I went in for an interview and was hired on the spot. He told me to go in the next day took my license, social security card for my background check and I did a mouth swab drug test. The whole process took about 3 days before I started my training. Training last about 7 days (nonconsecutive)
Straightforward process and not too difficult of questions. Went to corporate office, there were several other candidates there to interview as well. All went through interview process around the same time other candidates in separate areas, and then rejoined once interview was completed to start onboarding.
I applied online. I interviewed at Harris Teeter (Greensboro, NC) in Jan 2026
Interview
I apply through the Harris Teeter careers website.
Then In-Person, lasts about 20 minutes
Very casual and conversational.
They ask Basic questions like “Tell me about yourself.”
“How would you handle an unhappy customer?”
“What would you do if an item scans the wrong price?”
Pretty simple and straight forward, the hiring manager was nice. I'm a full time student so it was a low level part time position. If you have even average conversational skills you should be just fine.
