I applied through other source. I interviewed at Harmonic in Jul 2022
Interview
They reached out to me because of my personal projects over on Product Hunt, and they were impressed with the quality and my portfolio. I received an email inviting me to have a well-paid embedded week with the company to see if I was the best fit for them and vice-versa.
I signed the NDA and was treated just like any other employee. They didn't have technical interviews of any-sort, but they did have meetings where the employers got to know me better and where I fit in the company.
After this, they gave me a task I needed to complete within my embedded-week. It was fairly simple, and I just had to implement an alternative version of their home-page scrolling feed.
Throughout the process, I had a mentor-sort-of that was very friendly and helped me in getting access, troubleshooting, and enjoying my week.
