After applying, I received an email for a staffing event at the Tampa Hard Rock location. I confirmed the time I would like to attend and received a reply email very quickly. On the date of the interview, I arrived quite early (+45 minutes), but they took me in right away. I performed their basic math test assessment within the 20 minute allotment, and obviously passed. This included easy addition and subtraction, two digit multiplication, simple word problems, and averaging. All of it was pretty much middle school work, so if you can do middle school math, you should be fine.
After I turned in my assessment, I sat to wait, and was retrieved for the first interview within five minutes. I interviewed with three trainers from the department, who asked primarily stereotypical questions regarding customer service. This portion was about fifteen minutes, and I felt very easy during it overall. Each interviewer was very nice, non-abrasive, and friendly. Once this portion was completed, I was directed to sit again, and within another few quick minutes, I was brought back by the staffing supervisor for an immediate second interview. The same and similar questions were asked by herself, and after a further five to ten minutes with her, I was offered the job on the spot.
Overall, this was a very pleasing experience. I had been quite nervous as this is a job I've wanted to get for several years now, but everyone put me at ease very quickly. I am currently waiting on my official email job offer, and afterward will submit to my background check, drug screening, and uniform fitting. I was told that the usual start time from interview to training is approximately three to four weeks. I am very excited to begin this position!
