      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      26 Apr 2016
      Anonymous employee
      San Francisco, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hands-On Mobile (San Francisco, CA) in May 2012

      Interview

Phone screen with hiring manager followed by onsite interview with the entire team. The initial phone screen lasted about 30-40 minutes and it was mostly focused on previous experiences. The on-site interviews where broken down into four or five one on one interviews with the entire development team. Each developer went through the previous job experience type questions and then they each had a different white-board problem to try and solve. There were a couple of challenging problems to work through and at one point I was asked a question that I had no hope in answering correctly. I finished up with the individual interviews and met with the hiring manager one last time to discuss next steps which included a few days for the team to discuss my performance in the individual interviews and that I would be getting a phone call after that. I did receive that phone call and was offered the job.
