I had a deeply disappointing experience with Hach's recruitment process for the Senior Campaign Manager position. Despite my initial excitement about the opportunity, the handling of the interview scheduling left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a candidate.
After agreeing on a time for our interview, I was left waiting without any communication or acknowledgment from the company. Despite my efforts to reach out and reschedule, the lack of professionalism and disregard for my time persisted.
The recruiter's response, while apologetic for missing the interview, felt insincere given the lack of accountability for the oversight. Furthermore, the subsequent attempt to reschedule felt off and lacked consideration for my availability.
Feeling frustrated and disheartened by the lack of respect shown, and the fact that the recruiter ghosted me after I provided several times to reschedule the interview, I ultimately decided to withdraw my interest in the position. The entire experience left me questioning the company's organizational culture and commitment to candidate experience.
As a possible candidate, be aware of the unprofessionalism you may encounter. It's my hope that Hach takes steps to improve its recruitment processes and treats future candidates with the respect and professionalism that I was denied in this instance.
