I received an interview from an application. The first interview was virtual on Monday with the Manager on Teams that I would be reporting to. He gave me details about the role and included that there would be parts of HR that the team doesn’t get involved with. He told me to ask questions, and I did, but seemed frustrated or would interject because he had multiple screens going. I asked what the interview process looks like and he told me that the next rounds would be with two HRBPs then himself. On Friday, I received a call from someone on their team to schedule an interview in-person. We scheduled it for Monday morning. During the interview, the same manager was in attendance with another HRBP whom the position backfilled. The manager drilled in ER, which is an area he mentioned they don’t often get involved in since it’s handled by other parties. At the end of the interview, the manager got up and thanked me for my time while I was still seated and shook my hand. I thanked him for driving up from Richmond to meet with me and he said nothing. The other interviewer escorted me out. Three days later, I received an automated message that they would not be moving forward with my application. Seemed very impersonal.
