I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HDR (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2008
Interview
Very organized and professional, but very corporate attitude. The interviewers were very accommodating. Be on time, dressed nicely, and know the corporate background. The culture seemed to be very corporate (meaning that the interview was very formal, almost mechanical). However, I went to lunch with the section manager over the section to which I applied, and I found the manager to be very nice and thoughtful). Overall, the company seemed like a good company to work for (despite the corporate stiffness that I noticed -- my guess is that the structure came from their corporate headquarters and that their local office had a different atmosphere).

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HDR in Jan 2018
Interview
Allied online and received an email within three days from HR. I was asked to come in for an in person interview. The interview was very easy going. After the interview never heard anything from HR not even a rejection email.
Contacted by recruiter because my resume was forwarded to her. Scheduled a phone interview within the week. The interview was with engineers and not HR, which was fantastic to learn specifics about the position right away. No surprise questions, really basic things related to your projects and background.
