I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HDR (Richmond Hill, ON) in Feb 2014
Interview
The overall process was very dragged out and took a long time between submitting the application to getting a call back for the interview. I've heard from others as well, but they did not take any structured approach or ask many behavioural questions - some technical questions were asked but no software test. The interview was short and casual.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about yourself and how you think you could contribute to the company?
Which direction do you want your career to take over the next five years?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HDR (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
Very straightforward, met with two lead engineers who both asked background questions and explained job details. Asked in depth questions about previous work experience and education, and what I as a candidate could contribute to the company.
It was a chill office visit, then some talking like normal! I felt very comfortable the whole time and it was not weird at all. I met most of the people who worked there too
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HDR (Toronto, ON) in Mar 2016
Interview
Was interviewed for a full-time, entry-level position in March 2016. Applied online and was called in for an in-person interview. The process was efficient (2-3 week) and I got to meet 3 people who would be part of the team. The interview was very self-led and you get to focus on what you can provide the company. The interviewers seemed genuinely interested in my experiences and qualifications. Received an offer 1 week later.
