I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HCLTech in Jun 2021
Interview
3 Rounds of Technical rounds. Everything went very well. I got the offer but as I received a better offer, I declined. HR was good and well behaved. Always approachable. Only bad thing is, in each round I got asked with my expectation of salary, which is very unprofessional and uncommon in bigger organization.
The interview process consists of a total of 4 rounds initially:
2 Technical Rounds: Focused on evaluating your technical skills, coding abilities, problem-solving, and domain knowledge.
1 HR Round: Covers communication skills, salary expectations, notice period, and general behavioral questions.
1 Managerial Round: Conducted by a manager or lead to assess project experience, team collaboration, and decision-making abilities.
After clearing all internal rounds and getting shortlisted, there's an additional technical interview by the client. This round is more specific to the client’s requirements and serves as a final validation of your technical capabilities. It’s common in client-facing roles or positions through service-based companies.

Interview
Average question for SSE level. For very senior position you will be grilled nicely. Be prepared well for Lead roles. Notice period is 3 months here and they work hard to get you into the project if you are on bench.
No relevant question asked. They seems in need because of billing loss. Easy interview gets difficult job. Basics of C++ was asked. Like can constructor be virtual. Dynamic and static polymorphism.
