I was contacted by an automated scheduling system, to interview with an HCA corporate recruiter in Dec 2023. I made the appointment for my interview with her. Within 24 hours I was contacted directly by the hiring manager who asked if I could interview with her at a very specific date and time, which happened to be 2 days prior to my scheduled time with the recruiter. I agreed. During my interview with the hiring manager I discovered: she had no idea I lived out of state / would be looking to relocate to that state (even though she claimed to have my resume open in front of her, which clearly has my address on it), had no idea I had not yet even spoken with the recruiter, and throughout the interview I dis covered just how badly the description of the role had been written in the posted job listing. I was questioned about experience I didn’t have, which clearly wasn’t on my resume , and which wasn’t mentioned as a major part of the role in the job listing. Despite that discrepancy in those details I felt the interview went well as I do have transferable skills and experiences and a higher level of education than called for in the job listing. Two days later I was expecting to have my phone call with the recruiter. I had received both a confirmation email and a reminder email regarding the date and time of the call, indicating the recruiter would be calling me. At no time was I supplied with a direct number to her or even her email address. The time of my scheduled call with the recruiter came and went. She never reached out to apologize for blowing me off, never attempted to reschedule, nothing. The hiring manager also went radio silent.
