I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at H E B (The Woodlands, TX) in May 2013
Interview
The interview was very laid back. They asked basic scenario questions on how to handle difficult customers and other issues that may arise. Interviewed with the director of the store as well as the Pharmacy Manager. Both were kind and sincere in the interview process. There were a few situational questions that were asked to see how you respond. They make sure that you are trustworthy and responsible to be around prescription drugs.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at H E B (San Antonio, TX) in Jul 2020
Interview
The interview process was not very long. Someone from HR contacts you to schedule a interview in the next two weeks. Then you are interviewed by the team leader, who was very nice and easy to talk to. It took about three weeks to be contacted after the first interview.

Question 1
What did you do when faced with a difficult situation?
I applied online before being invited to come in for an interview. The interview was a mix of pretty standard questions. The only issue was that it was held in a large room where multiple interviews were occurring. It seemed like the other interviews were possibly for different positions though I am not sure. When you are already nervous about an interview, having other people sitting at a table next to you can hard. Other than that it was fine. This was basically a pre-screening type of interview so I didn't even meet with anybody from the pharmacy department this time around. I came in later (after getting certified to apply for a tech position, will post about that later).
