I applied in-person. I interviewed at H E B (Austin, TX) in Jun 2008
Interview
I turned in about 10 applications before they finally called me back. When they did there was a regular interview where they asked me behavioral questions .Then I was invited to a second interview. This was essentially a room of people in a circle. Here you were to sell a product to the interviewers and then participate in role playing activities.

Question 1
There really weren't any difficult questions. Just the usual that you expect, things like "Why do you want to work here?"
For the "round table" part, we had to sell a product that was under our chairs we sat down on. There were also role playing situations where the interviewers would pretend to be disgruntled customers.
I applied online. I interviewed at H E B (San Antonio, TX)
Interview
The process is simple enough, its mostly a lot of STAR based questions. And the digital interview is basically the same as the in person. The questions most of the time will be identical, if not extremely similar.

Describe a time you were tasked to work with a team
I interviewed at a grocery store where the manager asked about my customer service skills and availability. The atmosphere was friendly, and I felt confident discussing my past teamwork experience.

Question 1
Name a time I had to mitigate an issue with a co worker.
It was easy and straightforward. I received a call back days later and went in for an interview. The manager was very engaged and felt like a conversation. I was called a week later to being my onboarding process.
