Very elitist and explicit about it. Had a few coffee chats and informal interviews initially that made me feel good about the process until meeting one of the senior guys that bragged about how his family’s business history is what makes a good banker and I won’t have a shot if I come from anything different.

Interview
Basic testing of interpersonal skills. Testing of financial acumen. They want people who can build models, work well with clients, and be in the office very late. MD's were not too active in interviewing. Lack of organization in interview process. Very nice office in Houston. Friendly administrative staff were helpful in keeping the process going.
